Here’s what TC Electronic say about the TC Electronic The Prophet Digital Delay Pedal:

A prophecy was once told of a highly affordable studio-quality delay pedal that would give musicians all the pristine digital delay tones they could ever want. From short reverberating slapbacks to long and stretchy beds of ambience and anywhere in-between. Well, not only is the foretelling real. With The Prophet Digital Delay, the prophecy just came true!

Key Features

  • 3 Different Repeat Signatures – The Prophet is a Digital Delay that will give you access to 3 different repeat signatures (1/16,1/8,3/8) and is really easy to use.
  • Simple Mix Control – You can use the mix control to determine how much delay you want to be on your guitar signal and every repeat will be as clean and clear as the initial note.

Perfectly Pristine

THE PROPHET gives you instant access to modern, perfectly-pristine digital delay tones without any added coloration – just repeats. This makes THE PROPHET perfect for fattening up rhythm chord passages, cascading post-rock ambience, or more contemporary rock and country styles.

Time is the Essence

A good digital delay should sound great, be versatile and easy and fun to use – and THE PROPHET DIGITAL DELAY ticks all of those boxes. The onboard 3-position switch lets you instantly set the maximum length of the delay time (200, 500 or 1300 ms), allowing you to instantly jump from a fast slapback, to arpeggio-approved rhythmic delays – and all the way up to 1300 ms of delay for your huge, soaring solos!

Top-Mounted Jacks

The top-mounted jacks make these pedals easier to use on a pedalboard where you’re trying to save space. You can get away with putting loads of pedals right next to each other on the board and the more the merrier right?

Guitar Pedals

Guitar pedals are compact effects units that shape and enhance a guitar’s sound, sitting between the instrument and the amplifier. They include gain pedals like overdrive and distortion, modulation effects such as chorus and tremolo, time-based effects like delay and reverb, and essential utilities including tuners, compressors and loopers. Understanding basic things such as pedal type, signal order, power requirements and intended use helps players choose pedals that suit their style, setup and playing environment.

Delay

Delay is an effect that records the guitar signal and plays it back after a short period of time, creating an echo or repeat. By adjusting the time, feedback, and level, delay can add subtle depth and space or produce rhythmic, expressive repeats that enhance lead lines, ambient textures, and overall atmosphere.
