The Sire V7 Vintage Alder-5 New Gen in Tobacco Sunburst is a 5-string, 70s-inspired Jazz-style bass designed in collaboration with Marcus Miller. Built from North American alder with a maple neck and fingerboard, it delivers that classic, punchy vintage tone with modern playability, flexible active/passive electronics and Sire’s renowned Edgeless neck feel.
At the heart of the V7 Vintage New Gen are the Marcus Vintage-J Revolution pickups and Marcus Heritage-3 preamp, voiced to capture the rich, expressive sound of a great 70s bass. From tight, articulate fingerstyle to bright, snappy slap, this bass covers a huge tonal range while still feeling instantly familiar. The updated neck profile, rolled fretboard edges and refined hardware make it a joy to play on stage, in the studio or at home.
