Description

Sire's T7 FM model takes the iconic T-style guitar formula to new sonic heights, with a potent dual-humbucker configuration. A continuation of their relationship with jazz fusion legend Larry Carlton, Sire's modern take on the traditional T-type keeps the legendary shape intact, but comes supercharged with several cutting-edge features in order to appeal to today's generation of performance-conscious players.

Key appointments include a flamed Maple top, a rock-solid roasted Maple neck with a rolled-edge fingerboard, medium jumbo frets, locking tuners, a 2-point tremolo and highly-flexible electronics. Available at a fantastic price-point to boot, like all Sire instruments, the stunningly-crafted T7 FM electric guitar is a brilliant T-style alternative perfectly-suited for contemporary virtuosos.

Classic T-Shaped Body

While Sire's T7 FM model departs quite heavily from the original T-type blueprint, it does pay homage to this seminal instrument with an orthodox Alder body that guarantees a tight, balanced tone — the perfect tonal platform for the thick-sounding pickups.

However, Sire has put its own spin on this recognisable body shape by adding a shallow contour at the back of the lower cutaway. This minor yet thoughtful construction tweak therefore enables easier access to the upper frets, so that there are less limits to your creativity!

Roasted Maple Neck

Many modern high-end instruments come fitted with roasted Maple necks, yet Sire has somehow managed to fit its affordable T7 FM with one — providing you with a truly premium look and feel. "Roasting" is a process that is used to remove all of the natural moisture retained by a tonewood, which ultimately darkens the material and makes it far less vulnerable to warping when exposed to varying climates. This means that the T7 FM's neck is incredibly stable — vastly improving tuning stability.

Powerful 'LC Super-M' Humbuckers

Sire has equipped its gorgeous T-inspired model with a set of newly-designed 'LC Super-M' humbuckers. Delivering a rich and punchy sound, these pickups have plenty of output without being over-the-top — ensuring that your playing dynamics and technical nuances are heard for an expressive voice.

A 5-way pickup lever switch allows you to attain various full-humbucking and split-coil combinations. This makes the T7 FM a highly-versatile guitar that's adaptable for most musical styles — from country and jazz, to classic rock and even metal!

High-Quality Hardware

Hardware can be an afterthought for some guitar companies, but Sire has made sure that every detail is executed to perfection with its T7 FM. Boasting a beautifully-machined 2-post tremolo, this bridge lets you tastefully add warble to chords or dramatically dive into notes, while the steel block and stainless saddles enhance sustain and note resonance.

A set of Sire 'Premium Locking' tuners significantly cut down string-changing time so that you have more freedom to play, with less winds required around their posts too — reducing the likelihood of tuning slips.

"If I could give this more than five stars then I would . Puts some of the expensive USA guitars that I’ve owned to shame regarding attention to detail and finish . Might get another…."

"I think this is probably my favourite guitar already, excellent build quality and finish, attention to detail is very good."
