The MXR M279 Deep Phase Vintage Phaser Pedal is now preorder . You will find it with fast UK delivery online for £119 with P+P. This excellent piece of kit is manufactured by MXR This product comes with a great warranty.

MXR has expanded its line of acclaimed mini-sized pedals with the Deep Phase — a feature-packed modulation stompbox that delivers uniquely-expressive vintage phaser tones! If you love lush phasing sounds but have minimal space on your pedalboard, the extremely tweakable MXR Deep Phase is the perfect solution.

Stunning Vintage Voice

The MXR Deep Phase is based on an iconic vintage circuit, giving the unit a captivating, crystal-clear tone with a pronounced swoosh, scooped mid-range, and a dynamic voice-like response to your picking attack.

Enhancing the sound of fat, fluid-like chords or electrifying leads — MXR'a Deep Phase pedal complements any playing style. And while MXR's early phaser units suffered from a volume drop when engaged, the new Deep Phase is designed to match your unaffected level so the change is seamless!

Subtle to Intense, with Everything in Between!

Boasting two tactile knobs and a tone-changing button, the MXR Deep Phase is capable of achieving a wide range of mesmerising phase sounds, from subtle liquid shifting to thick, swirling turbulence. The Speed knob adjusts the effect rate, while the FDBK knob adjusts the intensity and sharpness of the phase peaks. By default, the Deep Phase Pedal runs on 4 phase shifter stages for a smooth effect. The Mode II switch doubles that to 8 stages for twice the number of peaks and a more animated texture.

pedal

A pedal is a compact device that guitarists use to alter their instrument’s sound by shaping effects such as distortion, delay, reverb, and modulation. Typically housed in a rugged enclosure and controlled by footswitches, pedals are designed to be placed on the floor for hands-free operation during playing. They can be analogue or digital, true bypass or buffered, and come in countless varieties to suit different styles and preferences. Pedals are essential tools for creating signature tones and adding colour and texture to a guitarist’s sound.

Phase

Phaser

A guitar phaser is an electronic effect used to alter the sound of a guitar by creating a series of peaks and troughs in the frequency spectrum of the audio signal. This effect is achieved through a process called phase shifting, where the audio signal is split into two paths. One path remains unchanged, while the other is subjected to an all-pass filter that shifts its phase. When these two signals are recombined, they interfere with each other, creating the characteristic swooshing or swirling sound associated with phasers. This effect can add a sense of movement and depth to the guitar’s tone, making it a popular choice for both rhythm and lead playing.

Vintage

A vintage guitar is a guitar that is considered to be of significant age, typically over 30 years old, and often possesses historical, cultural, or collector’s value. Vintage guitars are highly sought after by collectors, musicians, and enthusiasts for their craftsmanship, tone, playability, and historical significance.

Vintage guitars can come from various eras, each with its own unique characteristics and desirability.

Vintage guitars often exhibit signs of wear and aging, which can add to their character and authenticity. However, originality, condition, and provenance are crucial factors that determine the value of a vintage guitar. Well-maintained and all-original vintage guitars with documented history and provenance tend to command higher prices on the collector’s market.

While vintage guitars can be valuable investments, they are also cherished for their playability and the unique sonic characteristics they offer. Many musicians prefer vintage instruments for their mojo, vibe, and connection to music history.
