Ibanez recognized an exciting opportunity in this evolving space. The Q (Quest) series is a completely new concept for Ibanez, representing not just an adaptation of existing models into a headless design, but a fresh development from the ground up. This series incorporates unique elements aimed at enhancing tone, performance, and comfort. Key features include custom-designed R1 single coil and Q58 humbucker pickups, a new Mono-Tune bridge, and a proprietary custom string locking mechanism. Additionally, the QX subseries is equipped with innovative 8-degree inward slanted frets, tailored specifically to benefit highly technical players. The versatile feature set of the QX52 makes it an appealing choice for both modern, technical guitarists and those who may not have previously considered a headless guitar. Roasted Birdseye Maple Fretboard: This visually striking fretboard offers a balanced attack and rich sustain due to its heat-treated construction.
Jumbo Stainless Steel Frets: These frets feature excellent corrosion resistance and a wide, tall profile that delivers quick response and clear articulation for both chords and single notes.
Nyatoh Body: The Nyatoh body wood contributes to a rich mid-low end, enhancing the guitar’s tonal depth.
Q58 H-H Pickups: Designed specifically for headless guitars, the Q58 pickups provide a well-defined sound with excellent tonal balance.
