The Ibanez JEM7VP Steve Vai Signature in White is In stock available now for fast UK delivery online for GBP 1799 + Delivery. This excellent piece of kit is manufactured by Ibanez and in New condition and comes with a great warranty.

Steve Vai has stuck with his trusty Ibanez JEM through thick and thin. Like us, he knows the Japanese company consistently produce high quality guitars built using the best specs available.

The famous JEM has been around since the '80s and there are a few excellent reasons why – not only is it a stunning shape, featuring that famous monkey grip – but it's also built like a brick wall.

This Indonesian-made JEM7VP is arguably the most well balanced model yet. It combines top of the line hardware with genuine accessibility. Guitar manufacturing across the globe has come a long way since the cut price instruments of old. It will certainly stand the test of time.

Body and Neck

Utilising an Alder body and five-piece Maple and Walnut neck, the JEM7VP is a lightweight, agile guitar made to suit live playing and extensive wear. The titanium truss rod ensures maximum stability in any climate.

On top, the Ebony fretboard has undergone Ibanez's premium fret edge treatment to make sure your hand is as comfortable as possible moving up and down the neck. Of course, the JEM is embedded with the extravagant Tree of Life inlay, unique to Steve Vai's signature instrument.

Sound

The guitar is equipped with three DiMarzio Evolution humbuckers, the middle pickup being single coil. These signature pickups have been sculpted precisely for a sound able to cut through a heavy mix.

Low frequencies are tight, especially when using the loud and aggressive bridge humbucker. The neck pickup, meanwhile, is fat and punchy. The single coil in the middle position offers a slightly different, thinner tonality and sounds great when combined with the pickups either side.

Hardware

Look past all the gold and you'll see the JEM7VP is equipped with the likes of the awesome Edge tremolo designed by Gotoh. You'll only find such appointments on the very best of what Ibanez have to offer.

This Floyd Rose-esque bridge has an extremely smooth action, comfortable surface and completely reliable mechanism, able to deal with Steve Vai's huge divebombs and flutters. Adjust the action easier than ever before using the Lion's Claw trem cavity, so you'll be fiddling around less and playing more.

About Ibanez

We have new and used Ibanez gear available on our website for fast direct delivery direct to you from across sellers in all areas of the USA & UK.

The Hoshino Gakki company began in 1908 as the musical instrument sales division of the Hoshino Shoten, a bookstore chain. Hoshino Gakki decided in 1935 to make Spanish-style acoustic guitars, at first using the “Ibanez Salvador” brand name in honor of Spanish luthier Salvador Ibáñez, and later simply “Ibanez”.

In the 1970s, the Nisshin Onpa company who owned the Maxon brand name, developed and began selling a series of effect pedals in Japan. Hoshino Gakki licensed these for sale using the name Ibanez outside Japan. These two companies eventually began doing less and less business together until Nisshin Onpa ceased manufacturing the TS-9 reissue for Hoshino Gakki in 2002.
