Everyone wants to have a killer bass. Even those kids just starting out want a bass that they can play easily and reliably every day. Enter the MiKro series from Ibanez and the GSRM20 bass with its 28.6″ scale length making it the perfect choice for those beginners with smaller hands.

Comfort

Ibanez basses are known for having very slim necks for great playability and bodies with plenty of curves so they sit comfortably both standing and sitting. The GSRM20 MiKro shrinks their popular Gio SR bass design to a size that even kids will find comfortable. Regular sized basses are much larger and can be really uncomfortable for smaller players.

Reliability

When buying a first or second bass you want something that will last a long time. That is why the GSRM20 is made out of materials that are known to last. Including a Maple neck and Rosewood fingerboard as well as a Mahogany body which houses the bridge, pickups and controls.

Pickups

The GSRM20 has two pickups built in to the body. These pickups are based on some of the worlds most popular bass guitars and were chosen for their versatile range of tones and simple control layout. The bridge ‘J’ style pickup is commonly used for softer jazz and blues styles while the neck ‘P’ style pickup is normally used for rock and heavier music styles. Having both in one guitar means no matter the style this bass will sound great.

About Ibanez

We have new and used Ibanez musical equipment available on our website for fast direct delivery from sellers across the UK & Europe.

The Hoshino Gakki company began in 1908 as the musical instrument sales division of the Hoshino Shoten, a bookstore chain. Hoshino Gakki decided in 1935 to make Spanish-style acoustic guitars, at first using the “Ibanez Salvador” brand name in honor of Spanish luthier Salvador Ibáñez, and later simply “Ibanez”.

In the 1970s, the Nisshin Onpa company who owned the Maxon brand name, developed and began selling a series of effect pedals in Japan. Hoshino Gakki licensed these for sale using the name Ibanez outside Japan. These two companies eventually began doing less and less business together until Nisshin Onpa ceased manufacturing the TS-9 reissue for Hoshino Gakki in 2002.
