GIO Transparent GRG7221QA We think this is a great choice for Electric Guitars — grab one while you can! An amazing Electric Guitars by Ibanez, in new condition and backed by a solid warranty. Your gateway to guitar. With the new Ibanez GRG7221QA GIO, you’ll have everything you need to play the music you want to play. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced player, there’s something for everyone in this instrument, which is both affordable and packed with quality features. The Infinity R pickups are ideal for overdriven, dirty tones, and as such they are especially suited to those who are into heavier music like rock and metal. Defined, diverse, and dynamic. With seven strings, this guitar has an extended range compared to a regular electric guitar, allowing you to explore more sounds. This is representative of the shift many bands and artists are making from six to seven strings, and will allow you to play a wide selection of music. It also has plenty of tonal goodness locked up inside its poplar body and beautiful quilted maple art grain top. Once you start playing this beauty, you won’t want to put it down. Black

Black is a classic and versatile colour choice for guitars, amps, pedals, and accessories. It’s sleek, timeless, and suits every style—from understated elegance to full-on rock attitude. Whether you’re after a high-gloss finish on a guitar, a rugged black amp for the stage, or matching accessories, this category brings together all things black in the world of music gear. Ideal for those who prefer a bold, professional look that never goes out of style.

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibrations into an electrical signal, which is then amplified. Unlike acoustic guitars, they rely on amplification for volume and tone shaping, making them highly versatile in genres like rock, blues, jazz, and metal. Electric guitars come in many body styles—solid, semi-hollow, and hollow—and feature different pickup configurations, neck types, and hardware. From smooth clean tones to aggressive distortion, they offer a wide sonic range, making them the backbone of modern guitar music.

Sunburst

Sunburst is a classic guitar finish featuring a gradient blend of colours that typically fade from a darker edge to a lighter centre, resembling the glow of a setting sun. This timeless style is popular on both electric and acoustic guitars and adds visual depth and character to the instrument. Sunburst finishes come in various variations—such as vintage, cherry, or tobacco sunburst—and have been favoured by many iconic guitar models throughout history.

Transparent

A transparent guitar finish showcases the natural beauty of the wood by using a clear or lightly tinted coating that lets the grain and texture shine through. This type of finish highlights the craftsmanship and quality of the tonewood, giving each instrument a unique look since no two pieces of wood are exactly alike. Transparent finishes can range from glossy and polished to matte and satin, offering both aesthetic appeal and protection without hiding the guitar’s character. It’s a favourite among players who appreciate classic, organic style and want their guitar to speak visually as well as sonically.

About Ibanez

We have new and used Ibanez musical equipment available on our website for fast direct delivery from sellers across the UK & Europe.

The Hoshino Gakki company began in 1908 as the musical instrument sales division of the Hoshino Shoten, a bookstore chain. Hoshino Gakki decided in 1935 to make Spanish-style acoustic guitars, at first using the “Ibanez Salvador” brand name in honor of Spanish luthier Salvador Ibáñez, and later simply “Ibanez”.

In the 1970s, the Nisshin Onpa company who owned the Maxon brand name, developed and began selling a series of effect pedals in Japan. Hoshino Gakki licensed these for sale using the name Ibanez outside Japan. These two companies eventually began doing less and less business together until Nisshin Onpa ceased manufacturing the TS-9 reissue for Hoshino Gakki in 2002.
