Amp

An amp, short for amplifier, is a crucial piece of equipment that boosts the signal from your guitar or other instruments, allowing you to control volume and shape your tone. Guitar amps come in various styles, including valve (tube), solid-state, and digital modelling, each offering unique sound characteristics. Whether you’re practicing at home, recording in the studio, or playing live, the right amp can make all the difference in achieving your desired sound—from clean and crisp to rich overdrive and distortion.

Guitar Amps

Guitar amps are essential for shaping and amplifying your sound, whether you’re playing electric, acoustic, or bass guitar. They come in various types—valve (tube), solid-state, and digital modelling—each offering different tonal characteristics and features. From compact practice amps to powerful stage-ready combos and heads with matching cabs, this category covers all your amplification needs. We stock a wide range from trusted brands, offering everything from clean tones to all-out distortion, perfect for home practice, recording, or live performance.

Reverb

Reverb, short for reverberation, is an essential guitar effect that simulates the natural reflections of sound in a physical space, such as a room, hall, or cathedral. It adds depth, ambiance, and spaciousness to the guitar’s sound by creating a series of discrete echoes that decay over time, mimicking the way sound reverberates in different environments. Reverb pedals offer controls for adjusting parameters such as decay time (the length of the reverb tail), pre-delay (the time between the original signal and the onset of the reverb), and mix (the balance between the dry and reverberated signals). By adjusting these parameters, guitarists can achieve a wide range of reverb effects, from subtle room ambience to lush, expansive reverberation. Reverb is widely used across various music genres, including rock, jazz, ambient, and electronic music, to add depth, dimension, and realism to guitar tones, creating a sense of space and immersion in the sound. Popular reverb pedal models include the Strymon BigSky, Boss RV-6, and Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail.

Vintage

A vintage guitar is a guitar that is considered to be of significant age, typically over 30 years old, and often possesses historical, cultural, or collector’s value. Vintage guitars are highly sought after by collectors, musicians, and enthusiasts for their craftsmanship, tone, playability, and historical significance.

Vintage guitars can come from various eras, each with its own unique characteristics and desirability.

Vintage guitars often exhibit signs of wear and aging, which can add to their character and authenticity. However, originality, condition, and provenance are crucial factors that determine the value of a vintage guitar. Well-maintained and all-original vintage guitars with documented history and provenance tend to command higher prices on the collector’s market.

While vintage guitars can be valuable investments, they are also cherished for their playability and the unique sonic characteristics they offer. Many musicians prefer vintage instruments for their mojo, vibe, and connection to music history.
