Quartersawn Maple

Quartersawn necks are often regarded as one the most stand features on some of the most premium and boutique guitars ever built. Not only does quartersawn maple arguably look much more desirable thanks to its characteristic straight grain pattern; but the lumber is also typically 50% more stable than an equivalent plain-sawn piece. These straight parallel grain lines ensure the wood is less sceptical to disfiguration such as warping, shrinking, twisting and swelling that can occur in plain sawn necks. It takes a lot of skill and time to cut the Maple in such a way that the grain runs perpendicular to the face of the board and only small quantities of blanks can be cut from each log. Consequently, quartersawn lumber is much more expensive to yield however the benefits far outweigh the expenses!

Fender Ultra II Noiseless Vintage Pickups

The Fender Ultra II Noiseless Vintage pickups are built with Alnico V rod magnets to provide the most authentic-sounding vintage-styled noiseless pickups that they’ve ever produced. Utilising a stacked hum-cancelling design with a completely isolated bottom coil the Ultra II Noiseless Vintage pickup behaves and sounds like a true single-coil pickup providing genuine Fender tones full of expressive articulation with a bell-like top end.

Fender Ultra II

The Fender American Ultra II range of electric guitars and basses push Fender’s most versatile performance-focused lineup even further beyond. With redesigned Noiseless Ultra II hot and vintage pickups as well as the introduction of the Haymaker humbucker it has never been easier to find your perfect Fender tone. The addition of quartersawn maple necks and Graph Tech TUSQ nuts provides unrivalled stability and enhanced tone and the reimagined sculpted body contours offer even greater levels of comfort, ergonomics and limitless expression. Offered in a selection of 2 of the favourite colours from the original Fender Ultra lineup as well as 4 new car-inspired colours together with the reintroduction of Ebony fingerboards and Luminlay side dots the Fender American Ultra II series keeps on pushing Fender’s ideology of innovation and progression.
