The EVH 5150 amp has defined rock and metal for years now. EVH have listened to fan requests to make a 5150 with EL34 power amp valves for a slightly different sound and their requests have been answered!
British Tones
Whilst the 5150 is known for giving you saturated, fat distorted sounds many people wanted a bit more mid-range attack in a tasty 50w format which is exactly what EVH have gone and done with this amp. The cleans have a bit more sparkle and the dirty tones have definitely got more mid-range to offer than the standard 5150. This means that you'll get a whole host of tones as you wind the gain up from clean to dirty.
Three amp channels also mean that it's easier for you to differentiate between those tones.
All Killer, No Filler
The amp is beautifully compact and classy-looking with black and gold livery. And you can get the matching 2×12 cabinet here!
Headphone Output & Effects Loop
If you prefer running your delays, verbs and mods in the effects loop to retain that powerful crunch then you can use the built-in series effects loop. And for running a direct line to the front of house PA system you can simply use the headphone output.
