Description

The ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 Baritone is an extended range guitar designed to meet the needs of working professional musicians.  Featuring ESP’s single-cutaway Eclipse body shape, the EC-1000 is perfect for players looking to explore the downtuned sounds of modern rock and metal. Baritone guitars are typically tuned a fourth below standard tuning (B to B) but maintain an ideal string tension due to their longer 27” scale length.

The EC-1000 has a sleek, minimalist design, boasting a Mahogany body with a Charcoal Metallic satin finish and a Macassar Ebony fingerboard with no inlays. With 24 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets and a TonePros locking TOM bridge, the EC-1000 is well equipped to take even the heaviest of riffs! Locking tuners ensure optimal tuning stability whilst facilitating super-fast string changes and glow-in-the-dark Luminlay side dots allow you to find your place on dark stages.

At the heart of the EC-1000 is a pair of direct-mount active Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers, delivering a plethora of crystal clear tones, even with heaps of gain! A push/pull control allows you to switch between multiple pickup voicings, making the EC-100 surprisingly versatile.

Key Features

  • Fishman Fluence Modern Pickups – Versatile, multi-voiced humbuckers that are free from noise and irritating inductance issues. Full chords, fluid solos and a pure, musical tone.
  • Luminlay Side Dots – Glow-in-the-dark side dots that allow you to find your place on the fingerboard, even on the darkest of stages.
  • TonePros Locking TOM Bridge – Maintains rock solid intonation whilst maximising the transference of string vibrations for a huge sound!
  • LTD Locking Tuners – Facilitate lightning-fast string changes whilst ensuring optimal tuning stability.
  • 27” Baritone Scale Length – Longer than a standard guitar scale, the baritone scale length maintains ideal string tension even when playing with low tuning and heavier strings.

More info about this Product

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Baritone

Baritone guitars are designed with a longer scale length than standard guitars, allowing them to be tuned lower while maintaining string tension and clarity. They typically sit between a standard guitar and a bass in pitch, producing a deeper, heavier sound without losing definition.

They are widely used in alternative, metal, ambient, and cinematic styles, as well as for modern rhythm work and textural playing. Baritone guitars offer tight low-end response and extended range, making them ideal for players who want lower tunings with improved note clarity and control.
