The ESP LTD GH-600 Gary Holt Signature in Snow White is a no-compromise metal machine built to keep up with one of thrash metal’s most ferocious players. Based on the classic Eclipse shape and loaded with red EMG active pickups, a Floyd Rose 1000 tremolo and a fast Thin U neck, it is purpose-built for blistering riffs, searing leads and tight, articulate rhythm work on stage or in the studio.

From the set-thru neck construction to the Macassar ebony fingerboard and high-output electronics, every detail of the GH-600 is about stability, speed and crushing tone. The striking Snow White finish with red binding and red pickup covers gives it a bold, unmistakable look that stands out under stage lights while delivering the precision and reliability demanded by Gary Holt himself.

Thrash-Focused Design

Inspired by Gary Holt’s work with Slayer and Exodus, the GH-600 is designed to handle ultra-fast alternate picking, palm-muted chugs and wide-interval lead lines without breaking a sweat. The Eclipse body style offers a familiar single-cut feel with excellent balance, while the set-thru neck construction maximises sustain and gives you unhindered access to the upper frets for screaming solos.

High-Output EMG Active Pickups

A red EMG 81 in the bridge delivers the tight, aggressive attack and razor-sharp clarity that modern metal demands, keeping your riffs defined even under extreme gain. In the neck, the red EMG 89R adds versatility with its coil-split function via the push-pull volume control, letting you switch from thick, saturated neck tones to more open, single-coil style sounds for cleans and leads.

Fast Neck and Ebony Fingerboard

The three-piece mahogany neck with a Thin U contour is built for speed and comfort, making rapid-fire runs and complex chord shapes feel effortless. Paired with a Macassar ebony fingerboard and a 350 mm radius, the GH-600 offers a smooth, flat playing surface that is ideal for low action, big bends and precise technical playing across all 22 extra-jumbo frets.

Stage-Ready Hardware and Aesthetics

With a Floyd Rose 1000 bridge and locking nut, you can divebomb, squeal and abuse the tremolo while keeping your tuning stable. Grover tuners add further reliability, making the guitar ready for demanding live sets. The Snow White finish is framed by striking red binding on the body, neck and headstock, tying in perfectly with the red EMG pickups for a cohesive, aggressive visual statement.

Key Features

  • EMG 81 / EMG 89R Red Active Pickups – The EMG 81 in the bridge provides tight, cutting rhythm tones and searing leads, while the EMG 89R in the neck offers powerful, smooth tones with a coil-split option for added clarity and versatility, all voiced for high-gain metal.
  • Set-Thru Neck Construction – The set-thru design enhances sustain and resonance while giving you excellent upper-fret access, so long solos and high-register riffs feel natural and unrestricted.
  • Floyd Rose 1000 Tremolo with Locking Nut – Perform extreme pitch bends, flutters and divebombs with confidence, as the Floyd Rose 1000 and locking nut work together to maintain tuning stability under heavy tremolo use.
  • Thin U Neck with Macassar Ebony Fingerboard – The fast Thin U profile, smooth Macassar ebony fingerboard and extra-jumbo frets make intricate riffs, fast runs and wide bends easier, helping you play with precision and control.

More info about this Product

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.

Solid Body Electric Guitars

Solid body electric guitars are built from a solid piece or pieces of wood, giving them excellent sustain, stability, and resistance to feedback at higher volumes. This construction makes them well suited to amplified playing across a wide range of styles, from clean and articulate tones to heavy, high-gain sounds. Their design allows pickups and hardware to play a major role in shaping tone, while the solid body provides a consistent, reliable feel. Solid body electric guitars are valued for their durability, versatility, and ability to perform confidently on stage and in the studio.
