The Boss JB-2 is the first collaboration pedal that Boss have ever done! They’ve teamed up with JHS pedals to combine two of their best pedals into one sublime little unit. The JB-2 Angry Driver combines the JHS Angry Charlie from JHS and the Boss BD-2 Blues Driver.
Multiple Modes
The classic BOSS chassis houses both circuits which can be accessed individually or you can stack the drives in 2 different ways. You can run the BD-2 into the Angry Charlie or you can run the Angry Charlie into the BD-2 and stack the drives in different ways.
The pedal only has a single footswitch but you can access both circuits by using a remote Boss footswitch. This will mean you can use each circuit individually. This is all accessed by turning the knob on the far right of the pedal to the relevant setting.
The pedal also makes it easy for you to tell which circuit is active by changing the colour of the LED. When it’s BLUE this means that the Blues Driver is active and when it’s Red it’s the Angry Charlie. When it’s white it means both circuits are live.

Well Inside, you get both circuits; complete with independent LEVEL, GAIN AND TONE, thanks to Boss’ Dual concentric pot design, controls over each and well as a ton of different options for running the two together. The pedal design has been created with versatility in mind to cater for all levels of gain with high gain and low noise. You also get a feature that Boss first introduced two decades ago – Remote switching. Using a Boss Latching Footswitch gives you options to switch gain circuits on the fly or even run them in SERIES and PARALLEL. With Remote switching you could even use your switching system to change circuits automatically.
A total of six special modes means that these two overdrives can run in variety of ways to suit your style and rig;
