Matt Finish Warning – Please note that the matt finish used on this guitar marks incredibly easily. During the final factory inspection & our own internal quality control inspection its impossible to completely remove finger marks & light playing marks. Anyone who buys one of these guitars should do so in the knowledge that this finish will probably arrive with some minor marks, and that certainly after a few hours playing it will never look pristine again. If you want a guitar that will arrive & potentially stay pristine, then please find the gloss finish version of this guitar. Thanks!

You’ll love this if you’re a guitarist who wants a high quality metal guitar that can take a beating on stage. ESP and LTD guitars have been popular with metal guitarists since their inception in the mid 70’s though it was when they entered into the US market from Japan in the mid 80’s when things really started to kick off. Since then their guitars that are mainly designed for metal have always had fairly normal body and headstock designs.

High Quality Hardware

If ESP LTD guitars are known for anything it is their high build quality standards and the incredible hardware they put in their guitars. The EC-1000 is no different sitting on top of the LTD range this guitar is a great quality guitar. Made with a mahogany body and neck with an ebony fingerboard it is a dream to play especially if you like your guitar fast and smooth.

Pickup wise you will find a set of Seymour Duncan SH-1 and SH-4 pickups also known as the iconic JB and ’59 that have become a standard on solid body guitars. These pickups can work great for any styles but in this guitar they sound best chucked through a high gain amplifier. The bridge pickup is perfect for high gain rhythm sounds with a fat low end. While the neck pickup is slightly lower output and works great for both clean sounds and smooth leads with a rounded off high end.

Don’t feel like they have left any stone unturned. The LTD locking tuners and Tonepros locking bridge keep this guitars tuning in check all night long. Meaning you don’t have to worry about it while you are on stage so you can focus on the show.

Classic And Modern Design

The ESP LTD Eclipse EC1000VB is their take on a single cut design in a finish I love called Vintage Black. This matte black finish with gold hardware and binding looks fantastic on stage and even after a few marks keeps its beauty.

The body shape you might recognize as a fairly common design but it is not quite as simple as that. They have recessed the horn for greater access to the higher frets and made the body about half as thick as most other single cut guitars. This makes it lighter and easier to play. This guitar is a perfect example of taking something traditional and molding it to fit modern playing needs.

The

Black

Black is a classic and versatile colour choice for guitars, amps, pedals, and accessories. It’s sleek, timeless, and suits every style—from understated elegance to full-on rock attitude. Whether you’re after a high-gloss finish on a guitar, a rugged black amp for the stage, or matching accessories, this category brings together all things black in the world of music gear. Ideal for those who prefer a bold, professional look that never goes out of style.

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibrations into an electrical signal, which is then amplified. Unlike acoustic guitars, they rely on amplification for volume and tone shaping, making them highly versatile in genres like rock, blues, jazz, and metal. Electric guitars come in many body styles—solid, semi-hollow, and hollow—and feature different pickup configurations, neck types, and hardware. From smooth clean tones to aggressive distortion, they offer a wide sonic range, making them the backbone of modern guitar music.

LTD

Vintage

A vintage guitar is a guitar that is considered to be of significant age, typically over 30 years old, and often possesses historical, cultural, or collector’s value. Vintage guitars are highly sought after by collectors, musicians, and enthusiasts for their craftsmanship, tone, playability, and historical significance.

Vintage guitars can come from various eras, each with its own unique characteristics and desirability.

Vintage guitars often exhibit signs of wear and aging, which can add to their character and authenticity. However, originality, condition, and provenance are crucial factors that determine the value of a vintage guitar. Well-maintained and all-original vintage guitars with documented history and provenance tend to command higher prices on the collector’s market.

While vintage guitars can be valuable investments, they are also cherished for their playability and the unique sonic characteristics they offer. Many musicians prefer vintage instruments for their mojo, vibe, and connection to music history.
