Description

This Limited Edition Gibson Custom 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue pairs the most iconic solidbody design of all time with an ultra-rare birdseye maple top and Murphy Lab light ageing. Finished in a stunning Peach Tea Burst, it captures the look, feel and sound of a well-loved late 50s Burst, with every detail dialled in by the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville. Under the Light Aged nitrocellulose lacquer you get a hand-selected birdseye maple cap, chosen by the Made to Measure team for its dramatic figuring and three-dimensional depth. Combined with a one-piece, non-weight-relieved mahogany body and an Authentic 1959 neck profile, this Les Paul delivers the resonance, sustain and midrange punch that made the original 59s legendary, while feeling instantly familiar in the hand. Tonally, a matched pair of Custombucker Alnico 4 humbuckers provides airy highs, rich bloom and the complex harmonic response associated with the best vintage PAFs. Traditional controls and period-correct hardware keep everything intuitive and inspiring, whether you are chasing singing lead tones, woody cleans or snarling classic rock crunch. From the subtle lacquer checking and softened edges to the nylon nut, Kluson Deluxe tuners and cream plastics, this is a Les Paul built for players who want the romance of a true vintage Burst with the reliability and precision of a modern Custom Shop instrument. Murphy Lab Light Aged Finish The Light Aged nitrocellulose lacquer has been expertly treated by the Murphy Lab to mimic decades of careful play. Fine checking, gentle wear and rounded edges give the guitar a broken-in, comfortable feel straight out of the case, helping it resonate more freely while adding authentic vintage character on stage and in the studio. Rare Birdseye Maple Top The birdseye maple top is hand-selected for its swirling grain and three-dimensional figure, making each instrument visually unique. Under the Peach Tea Burst finish the figuring shifts with the light, giving the guitar a boutique, one-of-a-kind appearance that stands out from more traditional flame tops while still remaining unmistakably Les Paul. Authentic 1959 Neck Profile A solid mahogany neck carved to the Authentic 1959 profile, combined with a long neck tenon joint, delivers exceptional sustain and a confident, substantial feel. The 12 inch radius rosewood fingerboard with reissue medium jumbo frets offers smooth bending and precise intonation, ideal for expressive vibrato and nuanced phrasing. Custombucker Alnico 4 Pickups Custombucker humbuckers with Alnico 4 magnets capture the open, dynamic voice of late 50s PAFs. The covered neck pickup and uncovered bridge pickup, both with Double Classic White bobbins, provide everything from warm, singing neck tones to articulate, biting bridge sounds, all controlled via traditional two volume, two tone and three-way toggle switching. Key Features Murphy Lab Light Aged Nitro Finish – Light Aged nitrocellulose lacquer recreates the look and feel of a gently played vintage Burst, with subtle checking and softened edges that make the guitar feel instantly familiar and comfortable while enhancing resonance. Hand-Selected Birdseye Maple Top – The rare birdseye maple cap, chosen for its dramatic figure, gives each guitar a unique aesthetic with three-dimensional depth under the Peach Tea Burst finish, perfect for players who want a truly individual Les Paul. Authentic 1959 Construction and Neck Profile – A one-piece, non-weight-relieved mahogany body, long neck tenon and Authentic 1959 neck carve deliver the sustain, midrange punch and substantial feel that have made original 59s some of the most sought-after guitars in history.
