Using a “Deep Dish” design in conjunction with taller bobbins and a combination of different magnets and steel pole pieces, these pickups offer the player a sound that highlights the strengths of traditional single-coil and humbucking pickups. Somewhat of a more powerful full-frequency single-coil, it takes the richness and fullness of a humbucker but adds the highs and definition of a single-coil pickup.
