The Hiwatt T20/10 Head is great for the Studio or performing on Stage. British Engineered to provide 20W (or 10W) of Classic Hiwatt Clean with an additional ‘tube screaming’ Overdrive Channel, this ‘Cathode Biased’ (Class A) Amplifier provides the Guitarist with a ‘touch sensitive’ feel to the amps response.

Key Features

  • Half Power, Full Overdrive – Even when you switch the power from 40w to 20w, the impact of the overdrive still remains pure even with less volume.
  • Built-In Spring Reverb – Dial in crisp spring reverb to enhance the classic British tone this 2-channel amplifier contains.
  • Effects Loop – Place your delays and reverb pedals within the effects loop to achieve clearer tone while using the amp.

Like the Original Hiwatt Custom Shop ‘Studio/Stage’ – this amp allows you to half your power, drive the Tubes harder, and obtain pure, natural Hiwatt Overdrive with less volume. Also features an FX loop and spring reverb.

Amp Heads

An amp head contains the core tone and power of a guitar amplifier without the built-in speakers, allowing you to pair it with the cabinet of your choice. This setup offers greater flexibility over sound and volume, as different speaker cabinets can dramatically change the feel and character of the amp. Amp heads are available in valve, solid-state, and hybrid designs, ranging from low-wattage studio models to high-powered touring rigs. They’re ideal for players who want a modular setup, precise control over their tone, and the ability to adapt their rig to different venues, cabinets, or recording situations.

Amps

Guitar amps cover everything needed to amplify, shape, and project your guitar sound, from small practice setups to full stage and studio rigs. In this category you’ll find combo amps, separate amp heads and speaker cabinets, covering valve, solid-state, and hybrid designs, each offering a different feel and response. You’ll also see modelling and digital amps, built-in effects, footswitches, attenuation solutions, replacement speakers, valves, and essential accessories to keep an amp performing at its best. Whether you’re chasing pristine cleans, classic crunch, or modern high-gain tones, guitar amps and related gear are all about finding the right balance of power, tone, and control for the way you play.

Head

A head is an amplifier unit that contains the preamp and power amp but does not include a built-in speaker. It is designed to be used with an external speaker cabinet, allowing players to choose different cabinet and speaker combinations to shape their sound.

Amp heads are popular with guitar and bass players who want flexibility and scalability, as the same head can be paired with different cabinets for home, studio, or live use. They are commonly available in valve, solid-state, and hybrid designs, and range from compact low-watt models to powerful stage-ready amplifiers.
