If you’re chasing that golden‑era Gibson vibe, the 1964 Trini Lopez Standard Reissue is the real deal. Painstakingly scanned from the original ‘64 models, this reissue nails everything — from the satisfyingly chunky neck profile to that unmistakable trapeze tailpiece. It’s a proper throwback to one of Gibson’s coolest and most distinctive signature guitars.

Gibson themselves summed it up perfectly back in the ’60s: “The Gibson guitar that was inspired by Trini Lopez is as exciting as the young performer who helped create it.” And they weren’t wrong. Trini Lopez sadly passed in August 2020, but he kept rocking his signature model well into his 80s — proof of just how special this design really is. And he’s not the only fan! Everyone from Dave Grohl to Noel Gallagher has relied on a Trini Lopez to bring some extra swagger to the stage.

Key Features

  • 3-ply Maple/Poplar/Maple semi-hollow body: A beautifully resonant build that delivers that classic airy chime and punchy midrange — it’s the recipe behind so many legendary tones. This thing sings even before you plug it in!
  • Authentic medium jumbo frets: Smooth, comfortable and absolutely perfect for expressive bends and silky‑easy playability.
  • Three Custombucker Alnico 3 pickups: Vintage PAF mojo — warm, articulate and wonderfully dynamic. Go from sweet, glassy cleans to snarling, edge‑of‑breakup grit.
  • ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge: Enjoy rock-solid tuning stability and spot-on intonation, so your riffs and chords always sound their best.
  • Single Diamond Trapeze tailpiece (with Trini Lopez Insert): A proper vintage showstopper. This instantly recognisable tailpiece doesn’t just look the business — it adds a touch of openness and sparkle to the guitar’s natural tone.
  • Included hardshell case: Keep your investment safe and sound with a premium case that’s built to protect your guitar on the road or at home.

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Semi-Hollow

Semi-hollow guitars blend the warmth and resonance of a hollow body with the feedback control and sustain of a solid body. Featuring a solid centre block running through the body, they deliver rich, open tones with added bite — perfect for blues, jazz, rock, and soul. From smooth cleans to gritty overdrive, semi-hollows like the ES-335 have become timeless favourites for players who want depth, character, and versatility in one beautifully balanced instrument.
