Here's what ESP LTD have to say about the SD-2 Sammy Duet Signature Guitar:

Founder of legendary New Orleans-based extreme metal band Goatwhore, Sammy Duet is renowned for creating speedy, tight rhythms and insanely brutal riffs. His signature guitar, the LTD SD-2, is based on Sammy’s own ESP Custom Shop model, made famous by its identifiable Random Star shape. The SD-2 offers sturdy neck-thru-body construction at 24.75” scale for fast, easy access to the highest frets. This mahogany body, 3-piece mahogany neck guitar has a bound Macassar ebony fingerboard with 24 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets, diamond-shaped white pearloid inlays, and glow-in-the-dark side markers.

Components on the LTD SD-2 include a Floyd Rose 1000 SE double-locking tremolo with stainless steel screws. Its sound is driven by a single Seymour Duncan Blackout active pickup, designed to provide the hot, articulate response necessary for modern metal. Includes ESP hardshell case.

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibrations into an electrical signal, which is then amplified. Unlike acoustic guitars, they rely on amplification for volume and tone shaping, making them highly versatile in genres like rock, blues, jazz, and metal. Electric guitars come in many body styles—solid, semi-hollow, and hollow—and feature different pickup configurations, neck types, and hardware. From smooth clean tones to aggressive distortion, they offer a wide sonic range, making them the backbone of modern guitar music.
