The milkman is on his round again! A nice little metaphor for a tape delay created in conjunction with Tim Marcus of Milkman Sound. A straightforward, yet intuitive concept, the Milkman serves up a gorgeous echo, combined with a boost you can use as an always-on effect or to push your valve amp into overdrive.

Sound

Designed from the ground up to deliver a beautifully warm slap delay, the Milkman is an easy-to-use stompbox you can fit onto any style of pedalboard. Controls consist of a slap to alter the delay time, mix, which blends the wet/dry signals, repeat for the effect length and EQ to adjust the brightness of the echo. Pushed to the max, the Milkman can produce up to about four and half repeats.

With the EQ turned up high, you’ll get a classic tape delay machine break-up. Pushed all the way anti-clockwise, you’re getting a sound akin to a BBD analogue delay. On the right hand side of the pedal you’ll find the boost, which is a nifty feature for getting a gritty blend of swampy delay and drive.
