The Gibson Custom Murphy Lab 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue Light Aged in Royal Teaburst is as close as it gets to owning a true late 50s original combining obsessive historical accuracy with world-class craftsmanship. Every detail from the carved figured maple top to the lightweight one-piece mahogany body is designed to recreate the tone feel and response of a genuine 59. The Murphy Lab light ageing treatment adds subtle wear and patina giving the guitar the look and feel of a well-preserved vintage instrument without heavy distressing. A solid mahogany neck shaped to a 50s Rounded Medium C profile delivers a substantial yet comfortable grip paired with an Indian rosewood fretboard for warmth and smooth playability. The long tenon neck joint and hide glue construction enhance resonance and sustain while Custombucker Alnico 3 pickups provide authentic PAF-style tone with clarity and depth. Hand-wired electronics with CTS pots and paper-in-oil capacitors complete the vintage-correct setup making this a highly expressive instrument built for serious players and collectors alike.
