Faith Naked Saturn Electro Acoustic Guitar With Gigbag is an acoustic guitar.

Description

Despite being a relatively small brand, Faith produce some amazing quality acoustic guitars that deliver well above what their price points suggest. With excellent craftsmanship and features, these guitars are meant to be played.

Their Naked series is what happens when everything is stripped away and you are just left with the essentials. With a simpler, less-flashy design, the focus is on the sound of the instrument and its playability. The Naked Saturn Electro combines solid tonewoods with Fishman electronics for a traditional guitar that fits into any modern setup – on stage, in the studio, or at home.

The importance of body shape

Using our ‘square-shouldered’ dreadnought body shape, the Saturn is everything a guitar is supposed to be. With the dreadnought shape originally created to be audible as part of a larger ensemble, you can be sure that the Saturn will have all the sonic projection and volume you could ever need, along with the reassuring feeling of ‘that’ guitar shape under your fingers.

Which tonewoods are used and why?

The Naked Saturn Electro showcases an Engelmann Spruce top, complemented by Indonesian Mahogany back and sides, all meticulously crafted from solid wood and finished with a soft satin sheen. One of the significant advantages of the satin finish is that it allows the solid tonewood to move and resonate more freely, unburdened by layers of lacquer.

Embracing its ‘Naked’ essence, the guitar bares its soul, allowing the woods to reveal their true colours and subtly beautiful grain patterns: nature’s artistry on display.

How does it all come together?

The fusion of Spruce and Mahogany has long been an acoustic guitar tradition, and for good reason too. The brighter tone of the Spruce is tamed a little by the more mellow, softwood tones of the mahogany, resulting in a balanced sound across the spectrum, helped even more so by the mid-range focused character of the Saturn Dreadnought body contours. As with all Naked models, the fingerboard, bridge and bridge pins are all made from figured, solid Ebony.

Overall, you can look forward to a vibrant, thrilling, and continuously dynamic tone, with the Naked body proudly displaying the marks of every musical adventure.

The Electronics

This Naked Saturn Electro is simple to amplify, as it is equipped with a Fishman Presys 1 preamp system and an undersaddle piezo pickup strip. This elegant solution is super easy to use, with an easy-to-read built-in tuner, an EQ contour control, phase switch (to control any feedback on stage), and a volume knob. The output jack is integrated into the strap button on the base of the guitar, with the battery compartment located separately for easy access.
