The Mythos Golden Fleece Overdrive Fuzz Pedal is now preorder . You will find it with fast UK delivery online for £129.99 with P+P. This excellent piece of kit is manufactured by Mythos Pedals This product comes with a great warranty.

A fuzz pedal that reacts beautifully to your playing dynamics resulting in a warm, purring overdrive. Sounds too good to be true right? But the Golden Fleece from Mythos really toes the line between fuzz and overdrive pedal.

The pedal has one control for master volume, so all the tone and gain control comes from you and your guitar. Back off the volume and the tone cleans right up. Attack the strings for a full, rich fuzz.

Having a single knob pedal that has the versatility to cover clean, overdrive and fuzz in one go is absolutely killer. You can avoid that painful ‘finding your sound’ period during setup too, just plug in, set the master volume and play.

Here’s what Mythos say about the Golden Fleece

The Golden Fleece is the newest edition to the Mythos lineup. This completely hand wired circuit that skirts the line between overdrive and fuzz.

Based on a much talked about pedal used by Wilco’s Nels Cline this simple one knob unit lives in your guitars volume and tone controls. The knob on the unit is a master volume that does slightly shift the unit’s response but the Golden Fleece cleans up better than almost any other fuzz out there. Very balanced tone that doesn’t change your guitar’s sound just gives you a biting, yet full sound that would work for any genre of music.

Fuzz

Fuzz is a type of guitar effect that produces a highly distorted and saturated tone characterized by its thick, buzzy, and aggressive sound. It’s achieved by clipping the guitar’s signal in a way that creates extreme distortion and compression, resulting in a velvety, sustaining fuzziness. Fuzz pedals typically feature controls for adjusting parameters such as gain (the amount of distortion), tone (the frequency response of the fuzzed signal), and volume (the output level). By manipulating these controls, guitarists can create a wide range of fuzz tones, from gritty and raw to smooth and singing. Fuzz is commonly used in genres such as rock, blues, and psychedelic music, where it adds texture, power, and intensity to guitar solos, riffs, and rhythm parts. Popular fuzz pedal models include the Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi, Dunlop Fuzz Face, and ZVex Fuzz Factory.

Overdrive

Overdrive is a type of guitar effect that simulates the natural distortion that occurs when a tube amplifier is pushed beyond its clean limit. Overdrive pedals achieve this by boosting the input signal of the guitar, causing the amplifier to saturate and produce a warm, saturated, and crunchy sound.

Overdrive pedals are commonly used in various styles of music, including rock, blues, and punk, to add grit, sustain, and harmonic richness to the guitar’s sound. They are versatile tools that can be used to achieve a wide range of tones, from subtle breakup to full-on distortion, depending on the settings and the amplifier being used. Some classic examples of overdrive pedals include the Ibanez Tube Screamer, the Boss OD-1, and the Fulltone OCD, among others

pedal

A pedal is a compact device that guitarists use to alter their instrument’s sound by shaping effects such as distortion, delay, reverb, and modulation. Typically housed in a rugged enclosure and controlled by footswitches, pedals are designed to be placed on the floor for hands-free operation during playing. They can be analogue or digital, true bypass or buffered, and come in countless varieties to suit different styles and preferences. Pedals are essential tools for creating signature tones and adding colour and texture to a guitarist’s sound.
