NAMM 2024 saw the introduction of Badcat’s first lunchbox head, the Rubicon. Now, after 18 months of further development it’s in production, and it’s got a new name: Ocelot. Inspired by a small, feisty feline predator, the final design has evolved far beyond the original concept.

Ocelot’s tonal spectrum is even broader, but the Bad Cat character is still there. Every detail has been considered and reworked, with the channels and modes tuned for a natural and progressive flow. Versatile yet easy to dial in, it’s going to appeal to a wide range of players. Shimmering cleans, nuanced edge-of-breakup, rich harmonic drive, and articulate high-gain – it’s all there, with clarity, control and no compromises.

Key Features

  • All Tube Powered – Under the hood there are two EL84 power tubes, two 12AX7 preamp tubes, and one 12AX7 phase inverter tube, all working together to give you the most authentic and powerful tones.
  • BuiltIn Two Notes Torpedo – Blending analogue power with digital IR capture technology, you get to experience the best of both worlds.

Integrated Two Notes Torpedo

To top it all off, the Ocelot has a built-in Two Notes Torpedo amp load and cab simulator that features a 6-way rig switch with IR-exclusive Level controls and a dedicated XLR headphone output, perfect for practising. The integrated Torpedo can be used with Two Notes’ Remote software via a USB-C.

Glowing Tone

Let’s not forget the incredible style of this lunchbox amp, from the light-up glow when turned on, to the beefy crunchy tone that it produces. It combines analogue and digital technology to give you an exciting amp you too should own in your rig.
