It began as a one-man operation by Hiro Miura, focusing on high-quality bass guitars and preamps. The introduction of the Tri-Logic Bass Preamp set Xotic apart, offering bassists a unique onboard preamp solution. In 1998, Xotic ventured into effects pedals with the Robotalk 1, an innovative envelope filter that established the brand’s reputation for boutique craftsmanship and distinctive tone.

Over the years, Xotic expanded its product line to include renowned pedals like the AC Booster, RC Booster, and BB Preamp, all celebrated for their transparent overdrive and tonal versatility. The company also offers hand-built electric guitars, such as the California Classic XSC and XTC models, known for their premium tonewoods and meticulous construction.
