Single Channel Design

With a single channel based on the Top Boost channel of the AC30, this potent amplifier provides that unmistakable UK '60s sound. With a chimey and articulate clean, the AC30S1 can extend to a rich and gnarly overdrive when you push its gain control, thanks to its unique touch-sensitive circuitry and four EL84 power tubes.

Modern Features

The AC30 may be most notorious for its old-school tones, however the AC30S1 has been appointed with some modern features to appeal to contemporary players. A built-in digital reverb expands your tonal palette, giving you a convincing spring reverb sound with plenty of vintage character.

But if you're keen to run other time-based effects through the amp, like a delay, or even use modulation pedals such as chorus or phaser, the AC30S1's effects loop will allow for seamless routing of your pedalboard chain. The front end of the amp also reacts beautifully to overdrive and distortion pedals, making the AC30S1 the perfect pedal platform.

Although it packs 30W of power, you can use the AC30S1's external speaker output to connect to an additional cabinet if you're looking to rehearse and gig in large spaces. Plug it into a 4×12, and you'll certainly push some serious air!

  • Single-channel design inspired by the AC30’s trademark Top Boost.
  • All tube design featuring two 12AX7 pre-amp tubes and four EL84 power-amp tubes.

Amp

An amp, short for amplifier, is a crucial piece of equipment that boosts the signal from your guitar or other instruments, allowing you to control volume and shape your tone. Guitar amps come in various styles, including valve (tube), solid-state, and digital modelling, each offering unique sound characteristics. Whether you’re practicing at home, recording in the studio, or playing live, the right amp can make all the difference in achieving your desired sound—from clean and crisp to rich overdrive and distortion.

Channel

Combo

A combo amp is a guitar amplifier that combines both the amplifier head and speaker(s) into a single, portable unit. This all-in-one design makes combo amps convenient for practice, recording, and gigging without needing separate components. They come in a variety of sizes and power levels, from small practice models to powerful stage-ready amps. Combo amps offer versatility and ease of use, making them popular among guitarists of all levels.

Guitar Amps and Cabs

Guitar amps and cabs are just as crucial to a guitarist’s tone as the guitar itself. Amplifiers shape the sound—whether it’s clean and warm, crunchy and bluesy, or full-on distortion for rock and metal. They come in two main types: combo amps, which include both the amp and speaker in one unit, and amp heads, which are paired with separate cabinets (cabs) to project the sound.

Cabs come in various sizes, like 1×12, 2×12, or the mighty 4×12, each delivering different tone and feel. Speakers, cabinet wood, and even open vs closed backs all influence the sound. Matching the right amp and cab gives players control over their dynamics, tone, and presence—whether you’re playing in your bedroom, a studio, or on a festival stage.

Single

Tube

Tube refers to vacuum tube technology used in guitar amplifiers to amplify the signal. Tube amps are celebrated for their warm, rich, and dynamic tone, producing natural overdrive and smooth distortion when pushed. They respond sensitively to a player’s touch and playing style, offering expressive sound shaping that many musicians prefer. Although tube amps require more care and maintenance than solid-state models, their classic sound and feel keep them popular among guitarists worldwide.
