Marshall DSL20HR 20W Valve Head with Reverb — In stock and available now for fast UK delivery at just £369 + postage. 20W Valve DSL20HR We think this is a great choice for Electric Guitar — grab one while you can! An amazing Amp Heads Electric Guitar by Marshall, in new condition and backed by a solid warranty. The Marshall DSL20HR 20W Valve Head is a fully featured two channel valve amp that delivers the thunderous roar Marshall is known for, whether you’re practising at home or playing for a crowd. Coming from a rich heritage of amplifiers, the DSL20HR displays all the same sonic brilliance and organic valve tones thanks to its two EL34 power tubes. Compact, easy to transport and able to output to both 8ohms and 16 ohms cabinets, it’s the ideal amp to power your performance, from rehearsals through to the big stage. Find your signature sound. Featuring two channels with independent gain and volume controls you have vast array of tones at your disposal. Crystal-clear cleans, bluesy ‘edge-of-breakup’ drawls and full-throttle saturated lead tones. It’s exciting, fun and ready for you to experiment. You can further improve your tone with the in-built reverb effect and match the acoustics of the room with an independent resonance control. For any setting that requires a tamer volume (don’t wake the neighbours!) you can switch the output from 20W to 10W, retaining all the delicious valve tones at considerably lower volumes. Finally, if you want to get recording, the DSL20HR has a direct out that uses Softube emulation to attain that authentic mic’d 1960s cabinet sound. Versatile and full of valve tone vibrance, the Marshall DSL20HR will impress in any situation. Click Read More to view images, full details, and to place your order.

Reverb

Reverb, short for reverberation, is an essential guitar effect that simulates the natural reflections of sound in a physical space, such as a room, hall, or cathedral. It adds depth, ambiance, and spaciousness to the guitar’s sound by creating a series of discrete echoes that decay over time, mimicking the way sound reverberates in different environments. Reverb pedals offer controls for adjusting parameters such as decay time (the length of the reverb tail), pre-delay (the time between the original signal and the onset of the reverb), and mix (the balance between the dry and reverberated signals). By adjusting these parameters, guitarists can achieve a wide range of reverb effects, from subtle room ambience to lush, expansive reverberation. Reverb is widely used across various music genres, including rock, jazz, ambient, and electronic music, to add depth, dimension, and realism to guitar tones, creating a sense of space and immersion in the sound. Popular reverb pedal models include the Strymon BigSky, Boss RV-6, and Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail.

valve

Valve, also known as tube, refers to a type of amplifier technology that uses vacuum tubes to amplify the guitar signal. Valve amps are renowned for their warm, rich tone, natural compression, and smooth distortion when driven hard. Many players prefer valve amps because of their dynamic response and organic sound character. Although they require more maintenance and can be heavier than solid-state amps, valve amplifiers remain a favourite choice for professional musicians seeking classic tones and expressive performance.
