In 2018, modern session legend Martin Miller teamed up with Ibanez to create his very first signature guitar — the MM1. Based on Ibanez's AZ model, this top-quality instrument offered both a stunning aesthetic and a wide sonic palette. Fast-forward a few years, and Ibanez has collaborated with the German virtuoso once again to expand his popular signature series.

The new MMN1 keeps most of Miller's original artist model intact, but now boasts a flexible HSS pickup configuration to meet his demands as a boundary-pushing musician who's keen to explore even more sonic territory. Additional key features include a rock-solid Roasted Maple neck with a Rosewood compound-radius fingerboard, stainless steel frets, Luminlay side dots, Gotoh locking tuners and a bone nut.

Key Features

  • African Mahogany Body with Flamed Maple Top — The Maple top sonically enriches your picking response, while the African Mahogany body delivers a rich mid/low-end sound.
  • Ergonomic Rear Body Contour — A shallow body back and big forearm contour make the guitar's body fit you naturally, thus increasing playing comfort. The AZ body also has a deep waist and different radii on each body edge curve, making it easier to play in both standing or sitting positions.
  • 'Super All Access' Bolt-On Neck Joint — Ergonomic design offers the feel of a set/through neck for unrestricted access to the highest frets, while providing the practicality and "snap" of a bolt-on!
  • Oval "C" S-TECH Roasted Maple Neck — Ibanez's special 'S-TECH' roasting treatment increases the wood's stability, durability, water resistance and tolerance of temperature changes for rock-solid tuning. The neck is sealed with a smooth oil finish which helps make it feel similar to a well-played guitar neck.
  • Jumbo Stainless Steel Frets with Prestige Fret Edge Treatment — Stainless steel frets boast excellent corrosion resistance, with the wide and tall fret-type offering a quick response and great articulation. 'Prestige Fret Edge Treatment' guarantees effortlessly fast playing.
  • Luminlay Side Dots — Make it easier to see the fingerboard position marks when performing on dark stages.
  • Seymour Duncan Fortuna Pickups — Deliver a moderate output and natural clean voicing, which accurately reflect your subtle playing nuances. From treble to bass, the overall tonal balance is evenly adjusted and works well with various effects pedals.
  • dyna-MIX9 Switching System with Alter Switch — The dyna-MIX 9 offers nine sound variations and can switch between humbucker and single-coil modes with just a flick of the mini switch. One mode even simulates a humbucking sound from the c. Please read more for images, details and to place an order.

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibrations into an electrical signal, which is then amplified. Unlike acoustic guitars, they rely on amplification for volume and tone shaping, making them highly versatile in genres like rock, blues, jazz, and metal. Electric guitars come in many body styles—solid, semi-hollow, and hollow—and feature different pickup configurations, neck types, and hardware. From smooth clean tones to aggressive distortion, they offer a wide sonic range, making them the backbone of modern guitar music.

Guitar

Here at GPAS we have everything guitar from music to guitars amps pedals and stuff. The guitar is a versatile stringed instrument played across countless genres, from rock and blues to classical and jazz.

Typically featuring six strings, it produces sound by vibrating strings stretched over a wooden body or solid frame, amplified acoustically or electronically.

We have Guitars in all types, including acoustic, electric, bass guitars and electro-acoustic, each offering different tonal characteristics and playing styles. For many, the guitar is both a tool of expression and a lifelong obsession—lending itself equally to raw power, subtle nuance, and everything in between.

signature

Signature refers to instruments, pedals, or amps designed in collaboration with or endorsed by a well-known musician. These products often feature customised specifications, unique aesthetics, or special features that reflect the artist’s personal style and sound preferences. Signature gear allows fans and players to access the tones and playability inspired by their favourite players, offering a distinct and personalised musical experience.

Transparent

A transparent guitar finish showcases the natural beauty of the wood by using a clear or lightly tinted coating that lets the grain and texture shine through. This type of finish highlights the craftsmanship and quality of the tonewood, giving each instrument a unique look since no two pieces of wood are exactly alike. Transparent finishes can range from glossy and polished to matte and satin, offering both aesthetic appeal and protection without hiding the guitar’s character. It’s a favourite among players who appreciate classic, organic style and want their guitar to speak visually as well as sonically.

About Ibanez

We have new and used Ibanez musical equipment available on our website for fast direct delivery from sellers across the UK & Europe.

The Hoshino Gakki company began in 1908 as the musical instrument sales division of the Hoshino Shoten, a bookstore chain. Hoshino Gakki decided in 1935 to make Spanish-style acoustic guitars, at first using the “Ibanez Salvador” brand name in honor of Spanish luthier Salvador Ibáñez, and later simply “Ibanez”.

In the 1970s, the Nisshin Onpa company who owned the Maxon brand name, developed and began selling a series of effect pedals in Japan. Hoshino Gakki licensed these for sale using the name Ibanez outside Japan. These two companies eventually began doing less and less business together until Nisshin Onpa ceased manufacturing the TS-9 reissue for Hoshino Gakki in 2002.
